GEOFF NEES
“Geoff’s meticulous hand cut and folded paper works are an ongoing exploration of light and shadow through tessellating geometric and organic patterns.”
These works form part of a series that explores patterns from the botanical world. Using relief techniques I manipulate and emboss the surface creating a delicate web of shadow that reveal complex patterns, nothing is added or taken away from the page, it’s simply the manipulation of the surface capturing the light and casting a shadow.
