Q. Mr Cole, dare we ask you to describe your artistic temperament at the moment?

A. Frustrated yet still personally excited about “making”. Australia is still a pioneering country in so many of its practices and the arts are no exception. With modernism there was hope and newness about possibilities. Now it’s a mess.
