Collection: Shelley Hannigan

Shelley Hannigan’s art practice explores environmental and sustainability issues with found objects, collage, painting mixed media, textiles and experimental film. Key issues and theories include materiality, embodiment, identity and place. She has worked as an academic since 2008 supervising Phd and Masters students in art practice and art education, conducting research and lecturing in art education. Her Phd was awarded in 2015 and focused on the phenomenon of place and identity that had emerged from her practice since completing art school in 1989. Her work has been published in over 30 academic journals and books. She exhibits and presents her work each year at national or international conferences and exhibitions.
