Collection: Andrew Hustwaite

Andrew Hustwaite is a Melbourne-based sculptor and furniture maker known for his geometric, abstract work in various materials, predominantly metals and wood.
Hustwaite holds a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) from Monash University (2010) and a Bachelor of Creative Arts from the University of Melbourne (2006). He has been an active artist for over a decade, with solo and group exhibitions dating back to the mid-2000s. He currently works as a partner at Hustwaite Butcher and a Director at Snatch&Knackers, alongside his artistic practice
His work, particularly his sculptures, is characterised by a system of formal exploration and experimentation, stemming from a "fascination with the fundamental structures of our physical world". The forms often appear as "geological sculptures," exploring themes of compilation, extrusion, expansion, contraction, growth, and decay. He often uses a naturally occurring geometric form as a basic building block for his abstract constructions
