Forough Yavari

Forough Yavari is a Melbourne-based visual artist and photographer whose work is deeply shaped by her global experiences and personal history. Born in Iran during the revolution, she grew up amid the turmoil of war, finding solace ni art from a young age. Her childhood passion led her to formally study painting at university, where she developed a strong foundation in storytelling and Visual art.

Since relocating to Australia in 2011, Forough has merged her technical expertise in painting and photography to craft evocative digital art. Her work intricately explores human narratives, drawing from her diverse cultural background and lived experiences. Her works have been exhibited internationally in several solo and group exhibitions and art fairs.

In recent years, her artistic practice has expanded beyond photography to include large-scale sculptures, installations, and video-art. Through these works, she continues to push the boundaries of visual storytelling, capturing the depth of emotion, resilience, and identity that define her journey.
